Zari Panosian received her Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History and a minor in Spanish from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University. Ms. Panosian studied International Human Rights Law at Oxford University, worked with victims at the Ruth V. McGregor Project to Stop Sex Trafficking, spearheaded “100 Years Later,” a conference on the Armenian Genocide, and has served as a mediator in the Arizona Justice Courts. During her time in law school, she served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal and partook in Moot Court competitions, placing third in the Jenckes Closing Argument Competition and first in the Client Counseling Competition. In addition to her budding legal career, Ms. Panosian is passionate about creative writing and film; she has written and produced various independent projects. Her short story “Language Barrier,” was awarded the Randel and Susan McCraw Helms Writing Prize and her plays have been official selections in the Pandora Festival of New Works at the Arizona Women’s Theatre Company.
